The Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Médoc will be awarding its Crus Bourgeois du Médoc Cup on 16 June at Château du Taillan.

After two successful cups, the event will, like last year, be organised by Jacques Dupont, journalist at Le Point magazine, the event’s partner.

A panel of distinguished figures from the wine world (sommeliers, oenologists, journalists) will have the task of deciding between the Cru Bourgeois du Médoc candidates in a blind tasting of the 2010 vintage.

222 Crus Bourgeois du Médoc from the 2010 Official Selection will be competing, from which the specially selected jury will identify their top ten wines.

A super jury will then carry out another blind tasting of the top ten to determine an overall winner. The names of the ten top ten wines and the overall winner will be unveiled at a reception in the presence of winegrowers, professionals in the industry and local journalists.

Reminder: The Crus Bourgeois Cup took place every year between 1985 and 1999 and was a popular event with professionals and journalists in the wine sector. To celebrate the revival of the Crus Bourgeois, the Alliance successfully reinstated the award in 2011 with a new version created in partnership with Le Point magazine.
