The Official Selection for the 2013 vintage will be revealed on 22 September
6 years after the establishment of its innovative qualitative selection procedure, the Crus Bourgeois du Médoc will reveal the new Official Selection for the 2013 vintage produced in the Médoc’s eight prestigious AOCs: Médoc, Haut-Médoc, Listrac-Médoc, Moulis, Margaux, Saint Julien, Pauillac and Saint Estèphe.
The success of an initiative that has reached maturity
The union of the Crus Bourgeois du Médoc is delighted with the success that has been achieved by this government-approved quality procedure and, with the presentation just a few days away, would like to emphasize its key points:
- A genuine guarantee of quality, vintage after vintage based on rigorous specifications overseen by an independent body (Bureau VERITAS) that ensures impartiality.
- Authentication of every bottle: a sticker guaranteeing the quality of the wines that are bottled, with a QRcode that enables consumers to easily identify Cru Bourgeois wines in shops.
- Stable prices, even in outstanding vintages.
The success of this initiative, that has been widely praised within the industry, is particularly relevant during the current “Wine Fair” period in France, which has seen an increasing presence of Crus Bourgeois du Médoc wines in the major supermarkets.
