Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017: The international wine and spirits event presents a new format to reinforce its exhibitors’ business

Bordeaux, June23 2016 – The 19th edition of Vinexpo Bordeaux which will take place from Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 of June 2017 is already under preparation. The global event of the wine and spirits trade which will be held over 4 days, will welcome 48,000 professional visitors from more than 150 countries, a vast majority of whom come from the American and Asian continents.

In a favourable economic climate with wine and spirits exports growing, Vinexpo reinforces its trade sustaining initiatives. The “One to Wine Meetings”, were unanimously acclaimed for their efficiency by exhibitors at Vinexpo Bordeaux 2015 and Vinexpo Hong Kong 2016, and thus will be organized once more at Vinexpo Bordeaux 2017. The service programs and follows up on targeted business appointments between exhibitors and pre-registered visitors, which take place directly on the exhibitors’ stands. The tool allows to reach new markets and saves time, for both producers and buyers. The One to Wine Meetings will be open to all registered exhibitors.

The big news is the brand new and large scale Hosted Buyers program. Vinexpo Bordeaux will invite 200 new international buyers, representative of the constantly evolving distribution channels.  The objective is to make sure key-actors of e-commerce, travel-retail, off- and on-trade participate in the event. These buyers will take part in the “One to Wine Meetings” with some 4 to 6 appointments a day, depending on their targets.

Vinexpo is also expanding its stand offer, adding new 6 to 24sqm sized “turnkey stands” to its range, which will enable wine and spirits producers and traders of all horizons to exhibit and develop their sales on the international scale. This is how Vinexpo plans to put a focus on innovation, market trends, and new niche brands.

Another strong market tendency are Organic products, they will be showcased at the new Matmut Atlantique stadium, whose showroom will be entirely dedicated to organic and natural wines. 200 international producers are expected to meet with specialized importers, retailers and on-trade buyers.

In addition to boosting business on exhibitor stands, Vinexpo is working on a rich program of conferences and tastings. These events which bring together the greatest experts and emerging talents of the sector, will take place at the Congress Center ( Palais des Congrès), since demolition of hall 2 has been announced. Details of the event program will be unveiled over the coming months.
