The international wine competition will take place from 29th April – 1st May 2016 in Plovdiv / Registrations are possible from 21st December onwards

Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB), one of the biggest and qualitatively best wine competitions worldwide, continues its wanderings through various wine countries and thereby contributes to further opening the door to Eastern Europe: from 29th April – 1st May 2016 the bulgarian trade fair city Plovdiv is expecting more than 8.000 wines from all continents and about 320 jurors from 50 countries. Due to the huge internationalization, CMB is now going by the name of “United Nations of Fine Wines“. With about 60 percent the proportion of journalists among the rigorously selected jurors is as high as in no other competition – this guarantees global attention for the medal winners and the respective host countries. Strict quality checks of the rewarded wines and the jurors ensure comprehensible and scientifically supported tasting results. From 21st December onwards wine producers can register online on the following website: www.concoursmondial.com. The participation fee is 150 Euros per sample, of which four bottles need to be turned in. The deadline for registrations is 4th March 2016.

At the same weekend there is a seperate international competition in the spanish region Rueda, which is especially dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc. Registrations for Concours Mondial du Sauvignon 2016 (4th/5th March 2016) are still possible until 10th February (www.cmsauvignon.com). From 24th – 26th August 2016 the “Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles“ is taking place in Tequila (Mexiko). Because of its enormous growth, the international spirits competition has split off the mother event a couple of years ago and is since travelling throughout the world: 2015 it was in China, 2014 in Brasil. Registrations are accepted between 1st February and 17th June. For further information: www.spiritsselection.com
