A priority for international producers

Since its inception, Vinexpo Bordeaux has paid tribute to global wine production. The exhibitors are the first to express their satisfaction:

“Vinexpo Bordeaux is a showcase for the La Martiniquaise group. We will have a 250 m2 stand and will be joined at the fair by the founding family. We never miss it. Vinexpo Bordeaux offers us great visibility and is a key marketing tool,” said the French group La Martiniquaise. “We use it as a platform to show our new products and organise meetings with our clients and prospects. We can meet other wine professionals and develop new markets, but we also meet our current and prospective customers and forge long-term relationships with them.”

“As we’re from the Southern hemisphere, May is the perfect month to present our first 2019 vintages,” said Robinson and Sinclair who present wines from the main South African appellations (Wellington, Stellenbosch, Swartland, etc.) through their portfolio of 15 winemakers. “Being at Vinexpo Bordeaux alongside our winemakers provides us with immediate feedback from current and prospective customers and an insight into what buyers from different regions of the world like and want. This interaction is key to our business growth.”

Resolutely international

Buyers from the world over come to Vinexpo Bordeaux to taste and order products. Row after row of producer countries exhibit the wealth and variety of the world’s wines and spirits.

All of France’s regions, from Burgundy to Alsace, the Loire, Languedoc and of course Bordeaux, are there. International corporations sit side-by-side with smaller, family enterprises.

Wine and spirits brands from South Africa, Austria, Georgia, Portugal, Germany, Italy, the UK, the US, Lebanon and China offer tastings of their ranges.

Where else can you taste a New Zealand Chardonnay then a South African Chardonnay within a few steps of each other, before moving on to a Malbec or to appreciate the skill behind the Bordeaux blends?

WOW!

After its success at the 2017 edition, WOW! World of Organic Wines returns to Vinexpo Bordeaux 2019 with a selection of international organic and biodynamic wines and spirits. This event within an event capitalises on the worldwide appeal of Vinexpo Bordeaux to win over buyers looking for wines with the organic or biodynamic label.

To complete the picture, there will be a restaurant serving dishes that are 100 % organic.

The Vinexpo symposium

At a time when the wines and spirits industry faces yet more major challenges, Vinexpo is supporting its visitors and exhibitors to help them find answers. In association with the New Aquitaine Regional Council (Conseil régional de Nouvelle-Aquitaine), Vinexpo Bordeaux is organising the first day devoted entirely to the impact of climate change on the wine and spirits industry, a key concern for the future which affects all professionals. The scientific, technical and economic aspects will be discussed in a series of talks to take place throughout the day on 14 May.
