Cohesion, pride, equity, and attention to the individual: pillars of the avant-garde winery of Vignale Monferrato

Vignale Monferrato – The enrichment of the territory also involves the attraction and training of new talent. This is the direction that Hic et Nunc winery has been heading towards since 2012, resulting in the Great Place To Work® Certification. This important recognition was conferred by the international organization which bears the same name, and since 1991 has awarded companies most attentive to culture and workplace environment as well as management of personnel.

The mission of the organization is to enhance human capital, promoting a positive work environment with high quality Human Resources procedures, capable of motivating staff with a collaborative and productive vision.

These are ideals strongly shared by the owners of Hic et Nunc, Massimo Rosolen and Valentina Pascarella, entrepreneurs from Bergamo who chose to invest in the Basso Monferrato and in a young team, accompanied and led by professionals in the dedicated sector. The winery, which currently has 20 employees, is achieving important results thanks to its strong commitment to promoting the local grape varieties. In fact, Hic et Nunc represents an innovative and visionary reality, unique in Monferrato, immediately recognizable by the avant-garde and sustainable architecture of its winery as well as by its wine production, capable of giving credit to the great position of this area of Piedmont, a UNESCO heritage site.

“We are characterized by the combination of tradition and innovation – states Valentina Pascarella, owner of Hic et Nunc – Tradition, respecting the territory, and the cultivation of historic vineyards. Innovation, in the organizational processes and in the “transparent” architecture of the winery, all with a profound respect for the environment. In addition, people of different ages and genders are part of the team, united by professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion.”

Cohesion of the team, motivation and sense of pride for the corporate purpose, equity and attention to the individual are all areas which make part of the analysis for Great Place To Work® in which Hic et Nunc has distinguished itself, earning the GPTW certification, assigned to a Piedmontese winery for the first time. “Working at Hic et Nunc means experiencing firsthand a territory of great tradition and beauty, in a modern and functional context – comments Massimo Rosolen, owner of the winery – The sense of belonging, passion, and professionalism are combined with a strong sense of team. We cultivate the uniqueness of each one, bringing out talents as a precious and fundamental value.”

Hic et NuncThe Hic et Nunc winery is located in Vignale Monferrato, in the heart of the Basso Monferrato, the birthplace for Barbera and Grignolino, the iconic varieties of these hills. Here in the tenuta Ca’ Milano, the entrepreneurial project of the Rosolen family came to life in 2012: the purchase of 100 hectares in the Mongetto area saw the reorganization and restoration of a viticultural heritage (now 21 hectares) and the construction of a cellar avant-garde, aimed at giving a new voice to the native varieties of Monferrato, making wine in purity, Barbera, Grignolino, Freisa, Dolcetto, Cortese, and Nebbiolo. This vision is completed with the wine resort Ca’ dell’Ebbro, a structure immersed in the vineyards of the winery, expressing a fundamental part of the philosophy of Hic et Nunc: the taste of the present, the value of experience, and living in the here and now.
