With 60% of their sales in France, the wines of Saint-Emilion must seek out and meet their public. It is aboard a vintage truck that is specially stylized for the event where a somellier and winegrowers will present the wines of Saint-Emilion during the occasions of important events throughout the entire year of 2016. Regional rummage sales, Jazz festivals, markets, trade shows….the truck will travel throughout France on 15 to 20 stops in 4 large regions: The greater South-West of France, Brittany, The North (Pas de Calais) and Alsace.
The wines of Saint-Emilion, wines to rediscover
The wines of Saint-Emilion often evoke discovery, pleasure and sharing. It is through training and wine tasting sessions that consumers will be able to appreciate 16 wines from the 4 appellations of Saint-Emilion, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Lussac Saint-Emilion and Puisseguin Saint-Emilion.
With the help of a communications kit, local wine shop owners who are entirely associated to the Saint-Emilion Wine Trip will be able to bear the colours of Saint-Emilion during each week-long event. They will be able to offer training sessions to their clients, and possibly win a trip to the heart of the Saint-Emilion vineyard area. The wine shops that are associated with the project will also be highlighted on the truck during the event and in the entirety of the communications materials.
Street marketing, a dedicated internet site, teaser video, radio commercials and announcements as well as in social media…..a comprehensive media plan will announce and publicize the imminent arrival of the Saint-Emilion Wine Trip for each event stop. A large contest region by region will allow for the possibility to win the 16 wine references presented.
